Meet our Staff

Adrian Stelpstra – Director of Operations

Adrian has served at Camp Shalom since 2008. He has been married to his wonderful wife for 15 years and together they have been foster and adoptive parents for many years. They currently have 5 children. Adrian loves leadership development and walking alongside young people as they discover who God made them to be.

Sarah Romero – Office Administrator

Sarah has been at Camp throughout all walks of life. She came as a camper, she has had the pleasure to work on the summer staff team as a counsellor, and in leadership. Now she is working in the camp office! She enjoys working with people and being part of a supportive team. In her spare time she likes doing crafts, reading, and spending time in nature. If you have questions, need a hand, or just want to say hi, feel free to stop by!

Tim Partridge – Director of Finance and Development

Tim Partridge has served as the Managing Director of Camp Shalom/Countryside Camp and Conference Centre since 1999. He now serves as our Director of Finance and Development. Tim is a camping professional holding an Associates degree in Wildlife technology from Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelors of Science degree in Recreation from Slippery Rock College in Pennsylvania. He has been employed in camp ministry seasonally and full-time since 1976.

Crystal Speelman – Food Service Director

Hey everyone! This will be my 11th summer involved with camp and 3rd summer running the show – as we all know camp doesn’t happen without the food! I have always loved baking and enjoyed cooking, and am so glad I get to teach the summer staff and share my passion with them. When I’m not in the kitchen, you can find me swimming, reading, hiking, or travelling to new places. I’m looking forward to this summer and all that God will bring with it!

Ryan Flokstra – Summer Program/Maintenance/Whatever else we need

I’ve been lingering around Camp Shalom since 2016. My first 4 summers on staff I worked as a counselor and a program coordinator. I’ve been the Summer Camp Director since the spring of 2020, and in 2024 I convinced the higher-ups to add Assistant Director of Lawns and Septic Tanks to the resume.
