Camp Shalom is now a certified training facility with the National Lifesaving Society! This means we can officially train and certify lifeguards, making our waterfront safer than ever. Whether you’re a camper, staff member, or someone looking to gain lifesaving skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn in a fun, hands-on environment. Our commitment to water safety has always been a top priority, and now we can equip even more people with the skills they need to keep others safe in and around the water.

Bronze Medallion Prerequisite: 13 years old
Bronze Cross Prerequisite: Bronze Medallion
National Lifeguard Prerequisite: Bronze Cross, Standard First Aid with CPR ‘C’ (or equivalent), 15 years old
NL Recert Prerequisite: Current Standard First Aid with CPR ‘C’ (or equivalent) and previous NL certificate
You must be 13 years of age to complete Bronze Medallion & Cross Combo course.
You must be 15 years of age to complete the National Lifeguard course.

You must pay in full during registration by Visa or Mastercard.
If you cancel, without a doctors note, we will issue a 50% refund.
No, you will not be refunded any amount if you are unable to successfully complete the requirements of the certification. This is entirely up to the discretion of the course tester.
Yes, you can take all of the courses to become a fully certified lifeguard.
You qualify for the 20% discount if you fit into one of these categories:
- You are working at Camp Shalom this coming summer as a summer staff member
- You have previously worked on summer staff at Camp Shalom
- You are being registered by a CCI member camp
