Accommodations are bunk style. You will need to bring your own sleeping bag (or sheets and blankets) and pillow along with any personal items such as toothbrush, soap, towels, etc. We supply the following items for general use: toilet paper, paper towels or air dryers and garbage bags.
Upon Arrival
Leaders, please check-in at the office and pick up your welcome package. It is helpful if you advise other participants where to meet you when they arrive.
Check-in/Checkout Time
Standard check-in time is 5-7pm and check-out is 3pm. Should you require a change in the standard check-in or check-out time, please ask at the time of booking. While it may not always be possible, we will do our best to accommodate your request. An extra $50 fee will apply.
When Departing
Each building has a short list of how you can help us by tidying up after your visit. When you are on your way home, please leave your feedback form with the host in at the office and settle your account if necessary.
We accept cash, cheque, debit, Visa, MasterCard or e-transfer.
In the event of a cancellation, your deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to another date. If your group, having reserved lodging more than three months in advance, cancels the retreat within 30 days of your event, your group will be held liable for the partial payment of the facilities under the Rental Ministry Agreement.
Countryside Camp and Conference Centre/Camp Shalom offers a space for its guests to unplug and find God in the quiet. Wifi is available to speakers and group leaders if it is needed to bring in material for a session. Please ask for the password from the office or host.
We do not provide guest laundry facilities.
Please call or email at least five days in advance or as soon as you are aware of any needed changes. We will do our best to accommodate you.
Certified service animals are welcome at Camp. We ask you leave your pets at home.
Unfortunately, no. We do not have the necessary facilities available to make this possible.
Alcoholic beverages and non-medical drugs are prohibited on the grounds of Camp. Smoking/vaping is strictly prohibited anywhere in our buildings and on our grounds. Fire regulations and orderly procedure make co-operation in that area essential.
The Camp Staff have the right to expel a person from the grounds upon trespass of this rule.
Quiet time is no later than 11 p.m., after which there should be no outdoor activities going on or “loud” indoor activities.
Furniture must not be removed from any building and mattresses must stay on beds at all times.
Kitchens must be left in good order with items returned where they belong and equipment cleaned. All dishes must be washed, dried and put away prior to departure.
Do not adhere anything to the walls and floors. We will allow painter’s tape if absolutely necessary.
All vehicles should stay parked in designated parking lots for the duration of your stay. Please do not drive or park on the grass.
Adequate Adult Supervision is mandatory. 1 adult to 8 youth is the minimum ratio required.
Phone system – We have installed an automated voice answering system, allowing people calling your group to direct their calls to you 24 hours a day. Please inform the people which building you are in as they will hear a short message followed by the choices. The phone system also allows you to talk to your group in another building by pressing their extension number from your building. Instructions for making a call are with each phone.
Yes. We do NOT provide any bedding. All of our facilities, including the guest suites, have single mattresses. You can bring a sleeping bag or single sheets and a pillow.
