Camp Shalom is a Christian youth summer camp offering both kids camps and special needs camps. For over 50 years Camp Shalom has been a meeting place for friends and family to have fun and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. As the summer camp ministry of Countryside Camp and Conference Centre, Camp Shalom strives to provide campers and special support guests with fun and educational programming in a safe, accepting and, above all, Christ-centered environment.
Proper Training
Our summer camp staff members are hired based on their spiritual testimony, demonstrated life experience and current qualifications. They participate in a two-week intensive staff training period. Our summer camp staff strive to exemplify quality in character, morality in decision-making, and Biblical understanding in their teaching.

Summer camp has always been a place that makes lasting impacts on the people who visit. Memories are made that last a lifetime, friends are made who you meet here every year, new skills are learned that change the way you live, and great counselors are met who lead by example. At Camp Shalom we value every single person who comes through our gates, we pray for our campers by name and trust that God is present here and is at work in each person’s life.

Camp Shalom continues to be dedicated to keeping the fees for camp as low as possible. We do this by fundraising around 1/3 of the actual cost of camp. In previous years we offered one week of Adventure Camp at a lower cost. Register with a $10 deposit and then pay the remaining balance in monthly installments. We never want finances to be a barrier to kids having the life-changing experience of camp.
And don’t worry, if you need to switch to a different week later on, just call or email the office and we can do that free of charge.
$10 deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made after June 15th are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

Munchkins
Grades 1-3 Experience the wonders of camp through our Munchkins program, an ideal introductory option for young and first-time campers. Running for half of the week, it offers a perfect blend of activities to give campers a taste of the fun that awaits them.
Munchkins Reloaded
Munchkin Reloaded Campers will experience the many different things that camp has to offer like the pool and spray pad, canoeing, campfire, the waterslide, tuck time, Bible studies and worship. They stay for the full week camp session.
Adventure Camp
Grades 4-9 It’s no surprise that Adventure Camp is our most popular program at camp with hundreds of kids signing up every year. Campers will be able to choose from a variety of activities that they would like to try that day. Things like kayaking, archery, music, drama, golf, art, bottle rockets, hockey, soccer and many more.
Quest
Grades 8-12 Quest is the final week of camp and the best week of the summer! Everything that is awesome about camp gets even more awesome during Quest. All the games, Bible studies and interest groups are ramped up for teenage campers. Have you loved camp before? Than you will love Quest even more! You do not want to miss this epic week!
Leadership Training
Grade 9-11 The 3-week DISC program has been changing lives and raising up future leaders for many years. This program has a large focus on Discipleship—on pointing and empowering teenagers towards following Jesus. Some highlights of this program include service and learning trip opportunities, three weeks of co-counselling for our camp programs, and volunteering in the community through local service opportunities.
Day Camp
Grades 1-8 Not ready to stay overnight? Have all the fun of Camp Shalom packed into a day-time program.
Camp Shalom is committed to making your loved one’s stay at camp as safe as possible. We have emergency procedures in place for situations like severe injuries, tornados, fires, or emergency situations. There are also two Health Care Coordinators on staff, and we have qualified NLS lifeguards at the pool and at the kayaking pond. We are one of the few summer camps who require staff to participate in a two-week staff training time. We have a local doctor whom we can call if our healthcare staff has any questions, and we are able to get same-day appointments if necessary. In emergencies we are a fifteen-minute drive away from the hospital.
We believe that providing your loved one with the best summer camp experience possible rests heavily on our having the best summer staff possible. Our staff members are hired based on their spiritual testimonies, demonstrated life experiences, current qualifications, and clear criminal records checks. Each year we take great pride in the quality of our summer camp staff. Campers are supervised at all times by a staff member, whether that is at the pool, during free time, or at other activities like canoeing or the waterslide.
