Our purpose is to provide Christ centered programs to people of diverse cultures enabling them to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and better serve Him! Our current SOI (spiritual return on investment) is 94%. This figure is tabulated on an annual basis through a guest directed survey at the start and finish of each program. We use this to benchmark and evaluate the spiritual impact made in the lives of campers and guests through key elements within all programs. “Camp Shalom” is our flagship program that annually impacts the lives of nearly 700 campers, staff, and volunteers. “Some very wise people helped me understand that there is no scarcity of resources for funding all of God’s work, there is only a scarcity of people whose hearts are rich towards God.”
Our strategy through this site is to “raise up faithful stewards” rather than just ‘raise funds’ by keeping you informed of our work and the opportunities that are available for support. I want you to know that in this relationship it is important to me that you are blessed in every way you interact with God’s ministry here at camp. That includes any support you may choose to give.
A steward is one that has been entrusted with possession, position or a task by another in greater authority. Biblical stewardship is acknowledging that everything we have has been entrusted to us by God, it is His. Our role in His plan for our lives is to honour Him by asking how He would want us to invest what He has entrusted us with in His work and at what level.
